Long ago, on a dark, wet day in Scotland. When Macbeth and his friend Banquo return from combat, they encounter three witches. They call Macbeth the King, although he is little more than a common soldier. The witches' words will stay with Macbeth and Banquo forever. Macbeth becomes king soon after, but his wife dreams of blood and walks in her sleep. What does Banquo's future hold? And how many more people must perish before Scotland is at peace again?
